Jace really just went around in the episode comforting everyone didn’t he? First he went on the rooftop to see if he can comfort Alec, bring him back inside. Then he went to the briefing, asked Izzy about if she’s healed in their own special way and told her that he didn’t blame her for him being arrested. He also told Izzy about the mission to talk the Iron Sisters because he knew how much it’d mean to her. Finally he went to Clary to see if she was okay twice and also during the funeral.

Jace Wayland went through so much crap in the first four episodes. In the first episode where he wasn’t being beaten or manipulated, he’s goes around checking up on everyone.
